WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?

Isaiah 41:13– For I the lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, fear not I will help thee.

Life is full of ups and downs, but we must have a foundation that allows us to stand firm. I have learned that no matter what comes, no matter how dark life’s struggles may seem, you hold on any way. There is always and end. It may not be the end that you seek, but it will end. Often the end never comes as we imagined. I tell others often ” Never cross the bridge before it shows up”. many times the problems we think we have , are not even there.

What can I do for you? Awe we have the source of all solutions, God our Father, the creator of the heavens and the earth. Check with him before you give up. Check with the creator God, he has a plan.

LOVE

Sis. R.A. Addison by B.E. Waddell

S- is for Song

I- is for Introduce. She sings the songs of God, with hope someone to Christ she’ll introduce

S -is for Strength, God gives her everyday. It’s for the Seeds of Love she sows as she walks up the King’s Highway.

R- is for Rock. For it is written in God’s word: A house not built upon a Rock shall fall, for that Rock is the Word.

A -is for Adolescence. A period in her children’s life.

A -is for the Ability she has to show and teach them what is right.

D -is for the Decision she made to give God her life. It’s for the Determination she has to live and do what’s right.

D- is for the Deeds of Love she does each day. It’s for the Desire she has, “Well done,” to hear Christ say.

I- is for the Interest that she shows from day to day. “How are you doing?”, “Can I help you?” For you can depend on me always.

S- is for Sister. Big Sister she is to me.

O- is for Obedient. But not only just to God, but to her Family and Friends. She doesn’t wish to offend anyone, but if some how she does, she won’t run and hide.

N- is for Newness. For as long as you walk in the Newness of Life, one day with Christ you shall abide.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Pray for America that “in God we trust” will remain our foundation.

Pray that Godly values flow throughout the the walls and halls of our government. Pray that the power of the Creator God reminds all that we are a nation under God, and that liberty for all does not mean you have the liberty to remove God.

God is everlasting and eternal, he’s King of Kings in spite of you or me. I encourage you all, pray. Pray for our nation. As the old song goes, “on Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.”

Stand with me on the rock of Jesus Christ, He will not fail you. God bless.

Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me. Psalm 31:3 (NIV)

WHAT BEHAVIOR ARE YOU REWARDING ?

Jeremiah 22:29 O Land, Land, Land hear the word of the Lord!

Col 3: 23-24(NIV) Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord not men, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Awe we are in trying times. The world has changed from just last year. Just think about it. Change is everywhere. How we think about issues. How we interact with each other. No more talking on the phone, we text each other. Or we send pictures that tell our story. I don’t know about you, but I like to talk to people. I want you to look at yourself and ask the question: What behavior am I rewarding?

Do you punish the one who tells you the truth? Or do you punish them because it’s not what you wanted them to do? Do you push them to lie so you will feel better? Or encourage them to misrepresent the truth so you won’t really know what happened? How do you handle disappointments?

For additional reading about looking back at how you’ve handled situations in your past in order to move forward I encourage you to read the inspirational moment “What About Looking Back” in the Archive.

WOMEN STANDING FOR GOD

Pastor Addison

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance

Romans 11:29 for Gods gifts and his call are irrevocable.(NIV)

Prayer: Oh, Lord our help and ages past, our hope for years to come. Our shelter from the storm and our eternal home. Lord I bow in humble assurance that you are my God. I know without a doubt that you know what’s best for me. I am leaning and depending on you in all I do. Have your way oh Lord for I follow thee. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart forever be acceptable in thy sight. Oh Lord you are My strengthen and my redeemer. Amen

In the Book of Judges, Chapter 4, there is the story of a female judge named Deborah. She was anointed by God to Judge the Jewish people. The Bible says she sat under a Palm tree and the Men of that time came to her to settle their disputes and hear what sayeth the Lord. She was a Prophetess and the wife of a man named Lapidoth. I can just imagine the pride he felt having his wife chosen by God to be a Judge of the people. I can just see his chest pumped out with honor; that God blessed him with such a wife, Gods chosen vessel.

Saints that season has come again, its now. God has positioned, ordained, anointed, called Women to speak and I would encourage the Men of this day, of this season to listen. God knows what he’s doing. He has given a Word for the Nations to hear. Whether you listen or not, Gods word will accomplished whatever God desires. The Bible says every knee will bow and every tongue confess, that Jesus is Lord. Hey, think about it. We can bow now, of we will bow later.

I encourage you to ask God for Wisdom and Understanding. He will give you those listening ears, and an he will touch you with an understanding heart. Pastor Addison

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

You do better when you know better

Learn from the past, don’t live there

Don’t let what you can’t do, prevent you from doing what you can do.

If you don’t know where you are going, how will you know when you get there?

Hey, look in the mirror; who do you see? Is it someone you know?

Always take a step forward, that’s how journeys begin.

PSALM 5:1 GIVE EAR TO MY WORDS, O LORD, CONSIDER MY MEDITATION

A Prayer of Grief For 2022

Oh Lord I come to thee. I need your comforting touch, my heart is heavy as death surrounds. Fathers, mothers, sons and daughters; somebody died this day.

Somebody didn’t wake up this morning, somebody is now in thy presence, somebody stands before you having to give an account for their life here on earth.

But I call on your name right now. Touch us, give us Godly wisdom that we walk right. Lord, we need you right now, we need you to give us purity of thought, purity of walk, purity of talk. Only you Lord you know what’s best. Open our minds to hear you and obey, open our hearts to receive you.

Much is going on around us, we need you to help us Lord, the world has forgotten who you are.  Lord help your people stand up and be counted. Help them do what you have instructed us to do. To be imitators of you, to walk like you, to show love like you, Oh Lord help our unbelief.

Increase our faith Lord so we can tell the world Jesus is alive and he stands right now at the door of their hearts. Help them see you Lord before its too late.  Give them receptive hearts, listening ears, and teachable spirits, so they can hear you.

Thank you, Lord, for hearing my Prayer. Thank you for loving me despite me and my faults and failures. I will follow thee, wherever you sent me Lord. Strengthen me for the journey. This is thy servant’s prayer. Amen

FATHER’S DAY

SCRIPTURE:  1 Timothy 6: 11 – But thou, oh man of God flee these things: and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

A father was preparing to speak on the topic of “What a Good Father Ought to Be” and asked his daughter what she thought. I wonder how we would respond. What would our thoughts be? Well, let me share what the young 5-year-old daughter said as her response:

He would: 1. Catch fish, 2. Build a fire, 3. Fly a Kite, 4. Catch a butterfly, 5. Plant a flower, 6. Get a kitty cat out of the mud.

MEMORIAL DAY

Let Freedom ring! Support the troops!

I pledge Allegiance to the Flag

Of the United States of America

And to the Republic for which it stands,

One nation under God, indivisible

For All.

Memorial Day, a time we remember our fallen heroes, those who paid the ultimate price, those who died for the freedoms we enjoy. Let us never forget them, and their families and friends for this sacrifice. Let us salute with honor all who serve in our Military, and all who serve in harm’s way for freedom’s sake. Let us salute them with our prayers and words of thanksgiving and gratitude.

Psalm 27: 1  The lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Read: Psalm 91 and Psalm 121

God Bless you and Keep you, this is my Prayer.

GOING TO CHURCH?

Hebrews 10:25  Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage  and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near (TLB).

First, let’s get something clear. The word “church”, when you read this in the bible, is not talking about a building. The “church” is a body, a group of believers. The disciples were a body of believers, followers of Jesus Christ. Our scriptures encourage us to come together; to support and encourage one another.

You need to know even though this world changes, the culture, what’s expected, what’s not expected, God never changes. The scriptures record in Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not…… As God was in the days of old, he’s the same today. How can we know that? By faith. Jesus tells us in John: 4:24 , God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. To worship him we must believe that he is. And that he is a rewarder of those that seek him.
