WHAT BEHAVIOR ARE YOU REWARDING ?

Jeremiah 22:29 O Land, Land, Land hear the word of the Lord!

Col 3: 23-24(NIV) Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord not men, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Awe we are in trying times. The world has changed from just last year. Just think about it. Change is everywhere. How we think about issues. How we interact with each other. No more talking on the phone, we text each other. Or we send pictures that tell our story. I don’t know about you, but I like to talk to people. I want you to look at yourself and ask the question: What behavior am I rewarding?

Do you punish the one who tells you the truth? Or do you punish them because it’s not what you wanted them to do? Do you push them to lie so you will feel better? Or encourage them to misrepresent the truth so you won’t really know what happened? How do you handle disappointments?

For additional reading about looking back at how you’ve handled situations in your past in order to move forward I encourage you to read the inspirational moment “What About Looking Back” in the Archive.

WOMEN STANDING FOR GOD

Pastor Addison

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance

Romans 11:29 for Gods gifts and his call are irrevocable.(NIV)

Prayer: Oh, Lord our help and ages past, our hope for years to come. Our shelter from the storm and our eternal home. Lord I bow in humble assurance that you are my God. I know without a doubt that you know what’s best for me. I am leaning and depending on you in all I do. Have your way oh Lord for I follow thee. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart forever be acceptable in thy sight. Oh Lord you are My strengthen and my redeemer. Amen

In the Book of Judges, Chapter 4, there is the story of a female judge named Deborah. She was anointed by God to Judge the Jewish people. The Bible says she sat under a Palm tree and the Men of that time came to her to settle their disputes and hear what sayeth the Lord. She was a Prophetess and the wife of a man named Lapidoth. I can just imagine the pride he felt having his wife chosen by God to be a Judge of the people. I can just see his chest pumped out with honor; that God blessed him with such a wife, Gods chosen vessel.

Saints that season has come again, its now. God has positioned, ordained, anointed, called Women to speak and I would encourage the Men of this day, of this season to listen. God knows what he’s doing. He has given a Word for the Nations to hear. Whether you listen or not, Gods word will accomplished whatever God desires. The Bible says every knee will bow and every tongue confess, that Jesus is Lord. Hey, think about it. We can bow now, of we will bow later.

I encourage you to ask God for Wisdom and Understanding. He will give you those listening ears, and an he will touch you with an understanding heart. Pastor Addison

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

You do better when you know better

Learn from the past, don’t live there

Don’t let what you can’t do, prevent you from doing what you can do.

If you don’t know where you are going, how will you know when you get there?

Hey, look in the mirror; who do you see? Is it someone you know?

Always take a step forward, that’s how journeys begin.

PSALM 5:1 GIVE EAR TO MY WORDS, O LORD, CONSIDER MY MEDITATION

A Prayer of Grief For 2022

Oh Lord I come to thee. I need your comforting touch, my heart is heavy as death surrounds. Fathers, mothers, sons and daughters; somebody died this day.

Somebody didn’t wake up this morning, somebody is now in thy presence, somebody stands before you having to give an account for their life here on earth.

But I call on your name right now. Touch us, give us Godly wisdom that we walk right. Lord, we need you right now, we need you to give us purity of thought, purity of walk, purity of talk. Only you Lord you know what’s best. Open our minds to hear you and obey, open our hearts to receive you.

Much is going on around us, we need you to help us Lord, the world has forgotten who you are.  Lord help your people stand up and be counted. Help them do what you have instructed us to do. To be imitators of you, to walk like you, to show love like you, Oh Lord help our unbelief.

Increase our faith Lord so we can tell the world Jesus is alive and he stands right now at the door of their hearts. Help them see you Lord before its too late.  Give them receptive hearts, listening ears, and teachable spirits, so they can hear you.

Thank you, Lord, for hearing my Prayer. Thank you for loving me despite me and my faults and failures. I will follow thee, wherever you sent me Lord. Strengthen me for the journey. This is thy servant’s prayer. Amen

FATHER’S DAY

SCRIPTURE:  1 Timothy 6: 11 – But thou, oh man of God flee these things: and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

A father was preparing to speak on the topic of “What a Good Father Ought to Be” and asked his daughter what she thought. I wonder how we would respond. What would our thoughts be? Well, let me share what the young 5-year-old daughter said as her response:

He would: 1. Catch fish, 2. Build a fire, 3. Fly a Kite, 4. Catch a butterfly, 5. Plant a flower, 6. Get a kitty cat out of the mud.

Let us salute them with our prayers and words of thanksgiving and gratitude.

God Bless you and Keep you, this is my Prayer.

GOING TO CHURCH?

Hebrews 10:25  Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage  and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near (TLB).

First, let’s get something clear. The word “church”, when you read this in the bible, is not talking about a building. The “church” is a body, a group of believers. The disciples were a body of believers, followers of Jesus Christ. Our scriptures encourage us to come together; to support and encourage one another.

You need to know even though this world changes, the culture, what’s expected, what’s not expected, God never changes. The scriptures record in Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not…… As God was in the days of old, he’s the same today. How can we know that? By faith. Jesus tells us in John: 4:24 , God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. To worship him we must believe that he is. And that he is a rewarder of those that seek him.

MOTHER’S DAY

Genesis 3: 20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living .

This is the time to remember our Mothers. We should honor them at all time, but during the month of May, we have Mothers Day. A national day set aside to honor our mothers. But I am always reminded, that a Mother does not have to be a biological thing. Any one who cares for another person, nurturing them and providing for their needs , that’s a mother.

We do know there are many women and men who care for their families , and other’s and perform those duties that mothers do. God made Man and provided Women as a help mate for man. God wanted man not to be alone. So mothers have a role that God has equipped them to perform.

God makes no mistakes. He is the master creator, the giver and sustainer of Life. He knew us before we were in our mother’s womb. So we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are God’s chosen vessels, a royal priesthood. We The Kings and Queens of this world are standing through every test , that is why we must always do our best, showing God’s love to all the rest.

EASTER: RESURRECTION TIME

A TIME OF TRIUMP FOR CHRIST HAS RISEN AND LIVES TODAY.

The Awakening

John 9:25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not; but one thing I know that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

Hosea 4: 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…..

During this season of the year, we focus on the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. Remember he came that we might have life. (John 3: 16) Faith is the leader, and our sight takes second place. Because we believe, our faith, the reality of our faith becomes supreme. John 4: 24 God is a spirit : and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

We also read in Hebrews 11: 6 But with out faith it is impossible to please him : Jesus came for the lost; for those who did not know him. He did not come for the righteous. Matthew 9: 10-13 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house , behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. 11. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? 12. But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous , but sinners to repentance. We must never forget that we were once , one of those lost souls. Romans 3: 23 All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

To Awaken, one must acknowledge that they were asleep. You lack the consciousness of knowing the reality of the risen Lord, Jesus Christ. One must come to that place within, believing that God is, and that He is a rewarder of them who with , careful , persistent, attentiveness seek God.

CONSIDER THIS: How dare you preach and teach others when you have committed so much wick and evil acts against God and humanity?

CONSIDER THE RESPONSE: Yes that is so true; I was all those things. But how wonderful is the grace of God, who looked down on me and raised me up from that dark sinful life. Such, that I can now stand as a vessel of mercy. I can stand as one washed clean by the blood of Jesus. I can stand knowing my sins have been washed away. I can stand with the peace of God in my spirit. I can stand with Joy bubbling up in my soul. I encourage you if you have not Awaken? Awaken now! Awaken to the grace and mercy of almighty God, Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ rose from the dead with all power in his hand and he stands ready to take all your sins away, right now. He’s already paid the price for your freedom. All you need do is receive this gift of grace and mercy, and forgiveness. Allow Christ to fill you with his glorious presence. Awaken now, accept Christ as your Savior. Just say; Jesus come and be my Father, I want to be one of your Children, forgive me of all I’ve done not pleasing in your sight. I want to serve you Lord. Awaken in me your love and peace so I can tell others you are real and came to save. Thank you for saving me. Ok, according to the word of God, you are now saved. That’s it. You have now joined the family of God. Now begin to learn what that means. Start reading the Book of John, learn all you can about Jesus. Join a Bible believing Church so you can continue your Christian walk. Don’t let nobody tell you are not saved. The Bible said you are saved. Walk in what the Bible had proclaimed. Amen

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, IT’S THE LORD’S

US soldier in the desert during the military operation turning to combat helicopter approaching covering his eyes. Backup is coming

SPECIAL READINGS: Psalm 90, Psalm 91

2 Chronicles 20:15…. Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s

What would happen if you looked at the circumstances you find yourself in and said” the battle is not mine it’s the Lord’s? What would happen if you did as Jehoshaphat, in verse 3; he reminded GOD of all He had already done.

What about you? Can you reflect on all God has already done in your life?  Jehoshaphat acknowledged his fear but proclaimed “but our eyes are upon thee” (verse 12). As followers of Christ, we need to be mindful, the battle is not ours but GOD’S. We can make all kinds of plans, and often they go astray; things just don’t work out, but God is still in charge. I encourage you to let the story of Jehoshaphat be an encouragement to you. You see he had three armies coming against him and his people. He was afraid. Yet, in his fear he stood before God waiting for instructions.
