Safe In The Arms of Jesus

Psalm 91 Verse 4: He shall cover thee with his feathers and under his wings shall thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (KJV)

To be safe is to be with out fear. Knowing everything is alright. In this crazy world it’s a good thing to feel safe. I’ve come this day to tell you we are “safe in the arms of Jesus.” The scriptures tell us, He will cover us with his feathers and His arms.

Just think: When danger comes, we have a hiding place. When the lightening flashes, we have shelter all in the arms of Jesus. When we find our selves in circumstances that fill us with despair and fear, Jesus is right there to comfort and sustain us.

All because He is our Father, He is our God on whom we can depend. The word says He can not lie, He promises never to leave us and so He stands as our hiding place. “Safe in the arms of Jesus.” If you are one of His disciples, one of the followers of Jesus Christ, you have this assurance, as this Psalm reminds us.

God has given us His protection, the protection we can count on no matter what our eyes tell us , we have the Word of God. And when all else fails his Word will stand forever and ever.

Yes we are “safe in the arms of Jesus.” Our safety rest in our knowing where our strength comes from.

Phil 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When you rest in Jesus, when you lean on Him when you rely on Him, when your direction is depending on Him, when you acknowledge Him as your God on who you depend, when you just abandon yourself to Jesus , with a made up mind to serve Him and Him alone. When He is the focus of you affection, when you live, eat and breathe Jesus, when you pray with out ceasing. When you made decisions with the mindset what would Jesus do.

Oh when you reach that place you are “safe in the arms of Jesus.” God wants us to let go and let Him be in charge of us. He wants to be in control. Will you let Him? Will you let Jesus rule in your life?

That safety comes when you get self out of the way. God loves us so much that He stands right there waiting for permission. He will not force you or me to follow Him, but He waits right there. He
wants a loving heart and willing hands to come forth for Him.

There’s a song, Love Lifted Me:

I was sinking deep in sin, sinking to rise no more but the master of the sea, heard my despairing cry and from the waters lifted me now safe am I.

Love lifted me, love lifted me, when nothing else could help love lifted me.

Love lifted me, love lifted me, when nothing else could help love lifted me.

If you are unsure, whether you are safe in His arms or not. I encourage you to seek Him this day.  Don’t leave this place without the savior.  Jesus wants to be your God, He wants to have you rest in His arms.

Won’t you come?

Be “safe in the arms of Jesus.” You can.

  2. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

  3. Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any helpful hints for inexperienced blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.

    1. Thank you for your comments. Look at the Archives section; there are about 10 new writings. My aim is to put a max of 50 writings there that represent some of what I’ve written these past 20 years. I will blog post, I’m trying for every other week if I can or At least maybe monthly. It is a great joy knowing others find these revelations inspiring. 2 Timothy 2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
